ABOUT TROVE MARKET
Trove Market is a newly launched 501(c)(3) nonprofit and first-of-its-kind online marketplace created exclusively for entrepreneurs with disabilities. Built on a mission of economic inclusion, Trove empowers individuals who are both disabled and economically disadvantaged to sell handmade goods, creative services, and more — all within an accessible, low-fee digital platform designed to maximize income and opportunity.
Trove has secured over $1.8 million in startup funding and recently achieved IRS nonprofit status. With website development near completion and a robust network of partners, we are now seeking a visionary and operationally strong leader to launch, scale, and sustain this important national initiative.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will serve as the strategic and operational leader of Trove Market. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for executing the vision, building a sustainable organization, and driving measurable impact for sellers with disabilities nationwide. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring entrepreneurial spirit, social purpose commitment, and executional discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership: Guide Trove’s evolution from startup launch to scalable national platform.
Partnership Development: Build and manage relationships with disability service providers, philanthropic funders, government agencies, and corporate partners.
Platform Growth: Lead efforts to recruit sellers and buyers, grow user engagement, and track impact metrics.
Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, oversee financial reporting, and supervise vendor relationships (website development, marketing, accounting, etc.).
Fundraising & Development: Lead continued fundraising to support operations, seller services, and platform innovation.
Mission Stewardship: Champion Trove’s commitment to accessibility, dignity, and economic empowerment for people with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for disability rights, inclusive entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Proven executive or senior leadership experience in nonprofit, startup, or social enterprise settings.
Strong track record in fundraising, community engagement, or partnership-building.
Experience working with or alongside people with disabilities strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, strategic planning, and organizational leadership skills.
COMPENSATION
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Trove Market offers a mission-driven culture, startup energy, and the opportunity to lead a transformative initiative at a critical moment of growth.
