Job Description

Special Ed teachers: tired of commuting? With The ACES, we have 5 campuses in the greater phoenix metroplex; Gilbert, Tempe, West Phoenix, Paradise Valley & Peoria. If you want to spend more time with family and less time commuting, we have options at The ACES!

We are looking for teachers with special education or general education experience for all of our campuses in the Phoenix area (Phoenix West, Peoria, Paradise Valley, Tempe and Gilbert). We have teaching opportunities in all programs K-12.

We are open to individuals with a Substitute Certificate (starting pay is $25.00 hour). Alternative (starting pay $50,000 a year) or Special Education certificate (starting pay $55,000 a year). Individuals who work over the summer months of ESY (June and July) have the potential to earn additional income starting at $4,000 and up.

In addition, new teachers are allocated a budget of $900 for the year for class supplies, thereby saving teachers from paying for supplies for their classroom or students out of pocket.

The ACES understands that teaching is tough. We are a teacher-centered organization; our goal is to support the teaching staff so that they can work magic with students! At The ACES, teachers have immediate access to school vehicles for field trips, ample copy paper and supplies, avenues to request new or updated curriculum, and access to classroom technology. With 8 certified CPI instructors on staff, behavioral intervention help is always available. We believe that teachers should be able to focus on teaching; we offer a Compliance Officer to set up all meetings, a minimum 4:1 student to staff ratio so teachers can focus on instruction, fully staffed support rooms for escalated students, and a state of the art database with tracking capabilities to help with data accumulation, ESY tracking, and writing each IEP. Our classroom sizes range from 8-12 students per class along with 2 paraprofessionals for support. Finally, every one of our Principals, Operating Officer, and CEO have all been teachers…and are here to support you.

The ACES has been chosen as a national school of excellence 3 years in a row!
