Job Description

TASK invites applications for one, part-time position of Assistive Technology Specialist, which will be based in Orange County, and will serve all counties in our catchment area.  Under the general supervision of TASK’s Assistive Technology Program Manager, the AT Specialist will perform a variety of duties to assist families with disabilities and professionals in the field with information, demonstration, and direct support related to assistive technology.

Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual fluency (oral and written) in English and Spanish
  • College education or years of experience in a related field
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and tablet functionality
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment, educational assistive technology software and specialized applications
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and oral/written communication skills
  • Experience working with persons with special needs
  • Knowledge of special education, regional center, and other service systems helpful
  • Applicant must work well with children and adults with all disabilities
  • Ability to conduct workshops on assistive technology in English and Spanish
  • Some travel required and occasional weekend and evenings required
  • Reliable mode of transportation required as well as a valid CA Driver’s License and automobile insurance
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic self starter with previous assistive technology experience.
