Job Description

Community based agency serving to meet the residential needs of children identified as having autism, intellectual and multiple disabilities with behavioral complexities is seeking an experienced and dynamic Residential Director to join our expanding leadership team.

The Residential Director will provide exemplary leadership, is able to multitask and maintain productivity with keen attention to quality enhancement and continuous improvement through sound and mature decision making.

As a member of the agency’s core team and an ambassador of the agency’s mission, the Residential Director will exceed the standards of expected professional conduct in all aspects of his/her role at all times.

  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of agency policy and procedure and with residential licensing and monitoring.
  • Maintain administrative oversight of a designated region of group homes ensuring their overall operational effectiveness, compliance with all regulations and efficacy with program implementation.
  • Supervise and facilitate the professional development of house managers and community living assistants.
  • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate team meetings and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Maintain oversight of residential records, data collection, interpretation and individual program implementation.
  • Serve as liaison with families, interagency partners, community partners and providers.

Respect and advocacy for individuals with developmental and other disabilities.

Graduate degree in Leadership, Administration, Educational Administration/Special Education or other professionally relevant field from a regionally accredited college/university.

Five or more years experience as a Program Director or in an upper tier Leadership role.

Maryland Residential Program Administrator Certification (or eligibility to obtain post hire).

Exemplary interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with polished business acumen.

Additional requirements:

Minimum of 21 years of age.

Clear background checks.

Must possess a driver’s license with driving record acceptable to agency insurance standards.

Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours according to programmatic needs.

Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
