Job Description

Company Description: Misericordia Home offers a continuum of care to over 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities, some of whom also have physical disabilities and medical issues. We offer a wide range of programs to help each person live as independently as possible through a spectrum of residential options on its 31-acre Chicago campus and in the community, and with a wide variety of programs.

We have several openings for CNA positions on our day shift (6a-2p) and our evening shift (2p-10p) in our skilled nursing facility, the McAuley Home. We are hiring full time, part time and relief status (minimum 3 days per week).

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with special needs or previous CNA experience is not required.
  • CNAs must have a high school diploma or GED and current CNA certification.
  • Typical ratios for the CNA position are 1:4. CNAs provide total care for our residents including bathing, feeding, day program and recreational activities.
  • Upon hire, we provide 1 week of paid training and additional shadow days with senior coaching staff to allow time to learn how to work with our amazing residents. We offer a supportive and compassionate environment for our teams.

  • CNA starting pay: $14.50/hour plus additional differential for evening and weekend shifts.
  • Weekends are a requirement.
