Job Description

Oversee job development and job retention in a vocational training program for individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

Develop and maintain relationships with referring agencies.
Work with community partners to develop employment opportunities for individuals referred to the program.
Coordinate vocational assessment services for individuals referred from outside agencies.
Prepare reports and related billing as required by the referring agencies; provide input into developing funding proposals and draft contracts.
Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Collaborate as part of a team in an active, positive and participatory manner.
Support appropriate access, demonstrate sensitivity to special needs, and role-model cultural competency for persons with disabilities.
Market participant skills and program services to employers and businesses, private and state agencies, within the community by calling on public and private organizations.
Train, monitor and coordinate assigned program staff to ensure service quality; check on customer satisfaction with participant performance; follow up on problems indicated.
Participate with Director in developing funding proposals and draft contracts with customer employers; negotiate certain contract terms such as price and scope of service subject to Director’s approval.
Support efforts in fiscal sustainability.
Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
