Job Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible for planning, administering, implementing, and evaluating infants, children and young adults, age’s birth to adult for all ASD programs and services within the Hills & Dales.

1. Completes Client Functional Analysis/Assessment/Interventions

2. Program Coordination

  • Coordinates daily operations of work sites to ensure client safety and programming needs are met; ensures staffing is at necessary levels to meet quality standards.
  • Provides leadership & carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Writes assessments and recommended behavior support plan components to interdisciplinary team as applicable.
  • Ensures behavior support plans and support services provided are in compliance with Individual Care Plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

3. Completes required documentation addressing goals and progress of clients, re-authorizations

4.  Assesses training needs of assigned staff and provides training and oversight of assigned clinic area.

5. Assist with conducting audits and reviews to ensure quality of service, compliance of MCO/Medicaid rules & regulations and consistency of policies as well as assesses the changing needs of clients.

Must be able to:

  • Give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to adult.
  • The ability & knowledge to complete day-to-day activities and work independently.
  • Put clients at ease and make them comfortable.
  • Ability with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other Hills & Dales employees and guests.
  • Function as a Behavior Analyst in all commonly practiced aspects of patient assessment and intervention appropriate for the assigned age group.
  • Successfully pass and maintain QBS certification &/or other agency approved behavior support certifications.
  • Assess and treat behavioral challenges and address interventions based on educational recommendations and priorities for learning.
  • Supervise employees in the performance of their duties.

In all cases of physical requirements must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, maintain balance, frequent to constant stooping, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, grasping & reaching; occasionally may need to run, lift, carry & climb as well as pushing, pulling & sitting; with some standing & crawling.   Ability to physically respond to client elopements, block and redirect acts of aggression by clients.  Position requires ability to drive to different client sites and Hills & Dales sites.  Position can be stressful due to the amount and nature of interpersonal relations, the need to change tasks often and the need to assist clients who may use verbal or physical aggression toward staff, self or other clients. The environment may be crowded, noisy with frequent distractions. Subject to various temperatures and weather conditions when supporting clients on outdoor activities.

Education and Licensing/Certification requirements:

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CPR/FA Certification
