Job Description

Everas Community Services, Inc is adding positions to our HR department. We are looking for HR professionals who are experienced in recruitment, onboarding, retention and development, performance management, benefits and compliance. Applicants must be excellent at oral and written communication as well as attention to detail. We are looking for HR professionals who are committed to cultivating a professional work environment, responding to employee needs, and ensuring that our organization is managing and developing our staff to their highest potential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Ensure all employment practices are administered consistently and fairly following all applicable federal, state laws and contract funding guidelines;

· Support the organization’s success by developing and maintaining compliance, benefits, HR systems, and performance evaluations;

· Develop and implement performance management initiatives that result in employee performance, accountability, feedback, engagement and support;

· Develop and maintain the tools/processes to ensure implementation of required and accurate procedures regarding the department’s responsibilities;

· Cultivate strong, pro-active collaborative working relationships across the organization;

· Ensure best practices are in place to promote employee engagement and to enable a high-performing workforce with an unwavering focus and commitment to our mission;

· Champion an ethical conscience, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations;

· Initiate and maintain organization staffing search by establishing a recruiting, screening, and interviewing system;

· Implement employee benefits; manage open enrollment and on-going employee benefit programs;

· Create, analyze and report HR metrics, identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement, analyze turnover data;

· Utilize detail orientated skills to successfully performance agency tracking;

· Ensure employee matters are handled competently, sensitively and timely;

· Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all laws and state regulations, complete all required audits/reports;


· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree or equivalent experienced required;

· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred;

· Prior HR generalist or recruiter background with significant experience and expertise in areas of responsibility required;

· Strong knowledge of relevant federal and New Jersey state employment and benefits regulations;

· Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, solution-focused manner;

· Outstanding time management and multi-tasking abilities;

· Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic HR record keeping systems;

· Experience in non-profit setting preferred
