The Benedictine School and associated programs and services are located in the mid-shore area of Maryland between Easton, MD and Dover, DE in a town called Ridgely.  Benedictine is a private, not-for-profit multi-service organization dedicated to providing programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Shifts:

  • Evenings & Weekends

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure outstanding delivery and quality of all services provided.
  • Supervise full and part time Direct Support Professionals
  • Attend scheduled meetings. Conduct regular staff meetings with suite and/or house staff.
  • Cooperate with Benedictine administration and in-state/out-of-state agencies in any inspection or investigation.
  • Assist with new admissions to assigned area.

Qualifications:

  • Must have prior experience supervising staff, with a successful track record building and developing high preforming teams.
  • Prior experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities highly desired.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, organization skills, and ability to prioritize work for self and staff.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills.
  • Must present professional manner at all times with persons supported, families and colleagues.
  • Must be a strong advocate of the Benedictine mission to help children and adults with developmental disabilities achieve their greatest potential, and be motivated to contribute to the mission with pride and integrity.
