Job Description

AbilityPath is hiring a Day Program Coordinator to join our Team!

The Coordinator provides mentorship, supervision, and curriculum development for site and community-based instructors, interns and volunteers. The Coordinator is also responsible for the service coordination of participants in the program through Person Centered Planning practices. In addition, the Coordinator plays a key role in the initial / on-going training of Instructors.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

– Assists Program Manager to align the program with organization strategic direction, Employment First principles, and current vocational and human services best practices.
– Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate performance of instructors and interns. Actively participate in the training / onboarding process with all new hires.
– Oversee quarterly curriculum planning process, quality of instruction, and provide support to staff.
– Develop community relationships and partnerships to enhance opportunities for quality vocational and community-based programming.
– Perform monthly data audits to ensure accurate participant tracking and documentation.
– Responsible for Person Centered Planning and case management activities of assigned region including: coordination of input for assessments with the individual’s circle of support, goal setting and tracking process, incident reporting and follow-up, and other requirements; acts as the key liaison with the Regional Center.
– Administer accurate documentation of program activities, attendance, billing, expenses etc. and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
– Stays up to date with technology utilized in program and throughout the organization; able to provide support to instructors as needed.
– Coordinate supply ordering for site-based programs and track budget accordingly.
– Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate fill-in instruction to participants to help them achieve their goals; instruction may be community based, on-site or provided virtually.
– Utilize appropriate modification techniques to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans to increase engagement.
– Maintain and develop professional relationships and provide excellent customer service with external parties including, community partners, families, caregivers, and participants.
– Acts as liaison between the consumer, Regional Center, Department of Rehabilitation, and all other involved parties.
– Ensures a safe continuous working environment according to general safety practices
– Drive agency vehicles as needed
– Transport participants to activities and events; provide route service as needed
– Other duties as required

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

– Education Degree in applicable field
– Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
– Applicable work or volunteer experience

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

– 3 years of a Valid California Driver’s License/ID
– 3 years of a Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
– Proof of negative TB test results
– Verification of physical clearance
– Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
– 21 years of age for driving positions

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
