RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Full-Time and Part-Time Positions
Location: Bergen, Mercer, Monmouth, Morris, Salem, Sussex, and Warren counties
The Residential Support Specialist is responsible for providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabled consumers in a residential setting.
This includes providing daily structure and coverage to the residence, which include supervision and assistance with daily living skills,
personal care needs, case management, medication administration/supervision monitoring, transportation service, teaching and therapeutic intervention, Individual Habilitation Plan and/or Treatment Plan development, documentation, and recreational and social activities.
Services are provided on an individual and group basis as determined by the treatment team.
The Residential Support Specialist will communicate all significant changes in the consumer’s behavior level and notable incidents to the Residential Manager and documents pertinent information in the consumer chart.
The Residential Support Specialist acts as a liaison and consumer advocate for community resources and families.
The Residential Support Specialist is also responsible for ensuring a safe, therapeutic family-like environment adhering to all safety standards, Federal and State regulations, agency and corporate policies.
The Residential Support Specialist is required to cooperate with the Office of Licensing and Division staff in any inspection or investigation.
Perform other duties as direct by supervisor.
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid non-provisional driver's license
Candidates MUST also be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen, background and fingerprint check.
