Program Instructor is a non-exempt hourly position responsible for the training, supervision and well-being of one or more developmentally disabled participants in a wide variety of programs offered by Seabird Enterprises. Work is performed under the supervision of a Program Supervisor, Program Manager or Site Coordinator. Program Instructors are assigned to programs and/or sites depending on operational and program needs.
This position offers the opportunity to work in and learn about the Individual Supported Employment program where individuals are placed and supported at independent jobs in the community. When not engaged in ISE activities you will work as a floating substitute in the group programs which teach vocational skills such as in food service, farm, landscaping and mobile crews as well as the day service options program for those who cannot or do not choose to work. This may include a daily van run and may require working at various Seabird sites. The position includes using your personal car during the work day and being eligible for reimbursement for mileage. Training is provided. Must possess a valid drivers license for at least 5 years with a clear driving and criminal background check.
